Hello! I am excited to begin my 18th year of teaching at Starkey! I am overjoyed to be a part of the caring and family oriented Starkey family who put students first as well as love their students and each other. After spending the summer planning for another wonderful school experience, I am truly looking forward to having the best year yet!

My family includes my oldest son, Andrew, an E4 Petty Officer 3rd Class in the Navy lives in Florida! My youngest son, James, lives in Austin working and attending school! I enjoy spending time at home reading and gardening. Most of all, I enjoy spending time at home with my three dogs, Sammy Bear, Daisy, & Bailey, and my cat, Boston! My sons and fur babies mean the world to me, and I strive to create an atmosphere of safety and respect with a healthy dose of love in my classroom!

My goal is to develop as many opportunities for my 4th graders to grow in their love of our great State of Texas! I immensely look forward to supporting all of my students academic growth this year in their journey to becoming lifelong learners. I will do my very best to spend time with each student one-on-one, small groups, and as a whole class.
