Welcome to the Art Lab

In our class, we create and make magnificent masterpieces while we learn about the elements of art, the principles of design, art history and art appreciation.

I enjoy art and I love sharing it with our students. It is my hope that each child will discover her/his own creativity, develop skills and experience a variety of materials to make her/his own unique artistic creations. Watching your student's enthusiasm, while using clay or tempera paint, adds to my enjoyment of the class. My family says that I go to "fun" every day when I head to school. I am fairly certain they are correct.

For 27 years I've been at Daniels Elementary, the last 15 in the Art Lab. I am a graduate of Tivy High School and UTSA. Antlers and Roadrunners are wonderful, but my favorite are Daniels Mustangs!
