COVID Cleaning Products (Updated 11-5-20)
This week (11-2-20), we will distribute a new disinfectant cleaner called Oxivir TB to use in spray bottles and foggers. Oxivir is used in hospitals and other institutional facilities, and has met the stringent criteria we have put in place for the selection of a new cleaning product. First, it is on the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) List N which certifies a disinfectant as effective in killing the COVID-19 virus. Second, Oxivir is certified by the EPA to kill COVID within 1 minute of contact time. Third, the product has no EPA warning words such as Danger, Warning, or Caution, which means the EPA has determined the product is safe for extended use around students and staff. I have attached product information sheets to this email for more information.
Spray bottles that are used in our instructional spaces will be emptied of the Lysol product and replaced with Oxivir TB. By Monday, November 9, we will have Oxivir at all of our campuses. This change is being made to ensure the short term and long-term safety of our students and staff.

Finally, the district is using cold foggers with Steramine tabs diluted in water, after school hours, to cover areas that may be missed.
