I grew up in Kerrville and graduated from Tivy in 1985. This is my 32nd year of teaching and my 8th year here at Tivy. I also coached for 22 years, including volleyball, basketball, softball, track tennis and cross country.  I recently retired in 2020 but have returned this year to take over as the Family and Consumer Science & Education Pathway teacher, in which I will be teaching Human Growth and Development, Instructional and Practices Praticum, Introduction to Culinary Arts and Principles of Education.  I believe that it is important that we all become involved in the education field as it is the backbone of our society and encouraging and molding those students who are interested is very important. I also feel that teens should be able to  understand and function in a kitchen to be able to provide for themselves and others. Intro to Culinary will definitely get them started in the right direction.  I hope to make a real impact on my students' education so that they become productive and successful members in our local, national and international communities.
