Hello,

I graduated from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. I have been married for 28 years to my college sweetheart, Steve.  I have two sons.  Jack is a graduate of Texas State and works in Dallas.  Will is a recent Tivy graduate and is attending college locally.  

This is my 32nd year teaching.  I taught first grade for 26 years.  I am enjoying my sixth year as the Reading Specialist for kindergarten, first and second grade.  I have had extensive dyslexia, phonics and reading training.  I consider myself a life-long learner and teaching reading is my passion.  I look forward to a great year and having the opportunity to instill a love of reading in our students.  If you ever have any questions or concerns, please let me know.
