Hello, my name is Andrew Lozano and I teach 5th grade Science and U.S. history at Nimitz Elementary. I am in my third year of teaching. I previously held a four-year position at Starkey Elementary as a paraprofessional and an assistant coach for the Kerrville Tivy Boys Soccer program. I also taught one year at Tom Daniels Elementary. 

I graduated from Texas Lutheran University in 2014 with a Bachelor's of Science and Education. I am a member of TASCO. 

When I am not working, I enjoy leading teens at my local church youth group. I like to play golf and soccer for recreation. 

I believe learning takes place best in a positive, safe environment filled with laughter. Effective learning requires collaboration between teacher, students, and parents. It must be grounded in mutual respect and trust. All students can learn when they are accepted for who and where they are on their educational journey.
