Welcome to Mrs. Scogin's Minecraft world, where we will create a great year, grow as readers, and write about our many adventures!

I attended and graduated from Schreiner University in Kerrville, Texas and immediately got a job with the greatest school district in the state, KISD! I taught 4th grade Reading and Writing at Tom Daniels Elementary for 12 years and recently moved to 3rd grade.

I am passionate about helping my students find and cultivate their love of reading. I believe all it takes is one “right” book to get a student hooked on reading. I also love helping my students see that their written words can change the world.

I strive to make my classroom a safe, respectful, and loving environment where my students feel comfortable and confident.
